From McDonald's to Panda Express, there are plenty of options for users.
A survey conducted by GAMMA among males and females aged 18-55 in Manila revealed that McDonald's, Jollibee, and Starbucks are the most popular and widely recognized fast food chains in the country.
McDonald's, Jollibee and Starbucks dominate the market in Manilla, holding 30%, 23% and 16 % of the market respectively. While nearly 90% of visits go to five restaurants.
According to the Brand Love Index, which takes into account total satisfaction, affection and commitment, Starbucks scored highest in all three categories. Starbucks has a higher #Brand Love Index - 91 compared to 83 for McDonald's. Jollibee is next with 76.
The survey found that Filipinos have a strong affinity for Starbucks because of its wide array of beverages and snacks. The chain also has an extensive rewards program that encourages customers to come back again and again.
McDonald's was also highly rated for its large menu selection and affordability. Customers praised their burgers, fries, chicken nuggets, shakes, ice cream desserts and more.
Jollibee Group of Companies was another top choice among Filipino customers due to its wide variety of Filipino favorites such as fried chicken meals, spaghetti meals, burgers and sandwiches.
Burger King and KFC are two other popular fast food chains in the country, both offering a variety of burgers, chicken dishes and snacks. Burger King's Whopper sandwich is one of its most iconic offerings while KFC serves up its signature fried chicken with a variety of sides like mashed potatoes, coleslaw and biscuits.
Overall, the survey found that fast food chains are widely recognized by Filipinos as convenient sources of tasty treats.
